Read. Review. Win - Teen Reading Programme
In Three Words teen reading programme is hitting South Taranaki LibraryPlus centres this May. Teens have an opportunity to win weekly prizes and be in the draw for a major prize, just by reading books and writing a three-word review.
South Taranaki Community Outreach Librarian Katherine Bosworth says the programme has been designed to help build the relationship between teenagers and their local Library, and encourage a positive interaction, with as few barriers as possible.
Any South Taranaki teenager can participate, providing they are 13 to 18 years.
“It’s simple and easy to participate. Borrowing a book will get them into the draw to win one of our weekly prizes. If they want to go in to win our big prize, they need to complete a three-word review on a book. They can complete as many or as little as they wish during the four weeks,” says Katherine. There will be four weekly prize draws and a grand prize draw at the end of the programme.
“Main prizes vary from library to library and include bluetooth speakers, noise cancelling ear buds and a hydro flask water bottle. There is also a weekly prize in each library group giving teens the best shot at winning a prize,” says Katherine.
The programme starts on Monday 6 May and will run until Friday 31 May. It is free to participate, with no registration required.
