Temporary Road Closure

This notice is to let you know that in accordance with the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, the South Taranaki District Council proposes to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic at the following times.

Princes Street, Hāwera (between Napier and High Streets)
High Street, Hāwera (between Princes and Argyle Streets)
Regent Street, Hāwera (between Little Regent and High Streets)
Union Street, Hāwera (between Nelson and High Streets)
Saturday 14 December 2024 between 8.30am to 2pm

South Road (SH45) and Terou Street, Manaia (between Rangauri and Tauranga-a-ika Streets)
Tauhuri Street, Manaia (between Ngatai and Riemenschneider Streets)
Saturday 21 December 2024 between 10.30am to 1pm

Tasman Street (SH45), Ōpunakē (between Layard and Allison Streets)
Tuesday 24 December 2024 between 6.00pm to 9.00pm
Christmas Parades

It will be an offence under the above Act for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised period to use these roads for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

In all other situations necessitating the use of the roads, contact must be made with the site traffic management coordinators on-site, on the day. Alternative routes will be available and signposted.
