Temporary Road Closures

This notice is to let you know that in accordance with the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, the South Taranaki District Council proposes to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic at the following times.

Normanby:
Ngarongo Road (between Ohangai Road to 300m past Egmont Street)
Egmont Street (between Ngarongo Road and Browne Street)
Browne Street (between Egmont and Butler Streets)
Butler Street
Sunday 2 February 2025 between 6am to 6pm
Taranaki Car Event

Chester Street, Pātea
(between Egmont and Derby Streets)
Thursday 6 February 2025 between 7.30am to 5pm
Paepae in the Park

It will be an offence under the above Act for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised period to use these roads for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closures.

In all other situations necessitating the use of these roads, contact must be made with the site traffic management co-Ordinator on-site, on the day. Alternative routes will be available and signposted.
