What happens once my bin is emptied?
Glass bottles and jars are sorted into colour by collectors at the kerbside and stored in
three separate sections in our glass recycling trucks. Keeping glass separate from mixed
recycling avoids the risk of broken glass fragments contaminating other recyclables,
which means we can recycle more. Glass is infinitely recyclable and is used to make new
bottles and jars.
