Ōpunakē Lions Mountain to Sea Bike Ride 2025

It is mainly a family fun ride that is approximately 40 km long, predominantly downhill. There are a number of places where riders can enter or exit adjacent to roads, which makes this an achievable event for different fitness levels and young people. Approximately 80% of the ride is on farm tracks, 10% on road, and the balance on paddocks. The ride traverses privately owned farms that are not open for riders at any other time of the year. Online registrations are now open. Participants can register anytime up until the day and even pay with cash or eftpos on race day. Registration opens at 8am on the day and close at 9:30am sharp.

FREE BBQ at Ōpunakē Beach for competitors FREE shuttle back to collect vehicles after the completed ride. All profits from the event this year will go towards future Ōpunakē Lions Club community projects.
