Arts in the Park on this Saturday
After last year’s event being called off due to Covid, the ever-popular Arts in the Park returns this Saturday (3 December), at Hāwera’s picturesque King Edward Park.
South Taranaki District Council event coordinator Emma Vennell says over ninety stalls with various homemade arts and crafts will be scattered throughout the Park along with a variety of food trucks and entertainment.
“If you are looking for that perfect Christmas gift or a new piece of art, then this is just the day for you. With everything from handmade jewellery to garden art, woodturning to knitting, there is sure to be something for everyone,” she says.
“Music from various performers will fill the Park throughout the day to keep you entertained, as well as roving entertainment to keep the kids occupied while you shop. Have a seat, pick up something to eat and soak up the vibe. There will be a kid’s zone with games and activities including merry-go-round, pony rides, sumo suits, as well as a bouncy castle and train rides,” says Emma.
This free event runs from 10am – 3pm on Saturday 3 December at King Edward Park, Hāwera.
If the weather is not suitable on the day the event will be taken indoors to the TSB Hub.
