Last Chance to Vote in South Taranaki By-Elections

Voting closes at 12noon this Friday (17 February) for the Te Hāwera General Ward and Pātea Community Board by-elections, says South Taranaki District Council electoral officer Becky Wolland.

“It’s now too late to post in your vote, so if you want to be counted you need to drop your voting documents into the Pātea LibraryPlus or Hāwera Administration Building before noon on Friday,” she says.

Preliminary results should be known on Friday evening and will be posted on the Council’s website www.southtaranaki.com.

Wolland says the by-elections were needed after two positions remained vacant following the local body elections in October 2022.
