Hāwera LibraryPlus, isite and AA services are temporarily closed as they move into their new home. These services will be open again from 1pm on Monday 25 November at the new building, Te Ramanui o Ruapūtahanga, on the corners of High and Regent streets, Hāwera.

Road closures

In accordance with Section 342 of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that the following roads will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic at the periods indicated hereunder.

Morea Road, Hāwera
From 8am Monday 25 November 2024 to 5pm Wednesday 27 November 2024
Culvert installation

Moeawatea Road, Hāwera
will be closed at the Ford for repairs
from Monday 8am Monday 2 December 2024 to 5pm Friday 13 December 2024
(weather permitting)

Inaha Road, Okaiawa (from Normanby Road to end of road)
Friday 6 December 2024
8am to 5pm
Powerpole maintenance

Resident and Emergency Access available

It will be an offence under the above Act for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised period to use these roads for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closures.

In all other situations necessitating the use of these roads, contact must be made with the site traffic management coordinator on-site, on the day.
