Temporary Road Closures (Starting 14 November)

In accordance with Section 342 of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that the following roads in Opunake will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic for the periods indicated hereunder while Reseal Operations are undertaken.

Hector Place (between Tennyson Street to end of cul-de-sac),Dorset Street,
Fox Street (between Longfellow Road and Havelock Street), Domett Street,
Allison Street (between SH45 and Whitcombe Road),
Tennyson Street (between King Street and Gisborne Terrace),
Gisborne Terrace (between Tennyson Street and Waianu Crescent),
Waianu Crescent,
Napier Street (between Domett and Fox Streets)

Closures should be no longer than 4 hours – weather dependent.
Starting 14 November 2023

Emergency and resident access will be made available.

It will be an offence under the above Act for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised period to use these roads for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closures.

In all other situations necessitating the use of the roads, contact must be made with the site traffic management coordinators on-site, on the day. Alternative routes will be available and signposted.
