Temporary Road Closures

In accordance with Section 342 of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that the following roads will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic for the periods indicated hereunder.

Wiremu Road, Ōpunakē (between Opua and Ihaia Roads)
20 November 2023 to 24 November 2023
2 days – weather dependant
8am to 5pm
Detours via Opua and Ihaia Roads
Road repairs to bridge approach

Manihi Road, Rahotu
30 November 2023,
5, 7, 12, 14 and 19 December 2023
13, 14, 15 and 20 February 2024
and
Witiroa Road, Rahotu
16, 18, 23, 25, 30 January 2024
21, 22 February 2024
Emergency and resident access will be made available.
8am to 5pm

Kohiti Road, Okaiawa
From 8am Monday 27 November 2023 to 5pm Friday 12 December 2023
Underpass Installation

It will be an offence under the above Act for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised period to use these roads for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closures.

In all other situations necessitating the use of the roads, contact must be made with the site traffic management coordinators on-site, on the day.
