Temporary Road Closures - Ōpunakē (Mountain to Sea bike ride event)

This notice is to let you know that in accordance with the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, the South Taranaki District Council proposes to close the following roads for the Ōpunakē Lions Club Mountain to Sea bike ride to ordinary vehicular traffic at the following times.

Upper Ihaia and Upper Kaweora Road, Ōpunakē

7am to 12pm

Young Road, Ōpunakē

10am to 2pm

Sunday 7 April 2024

Resident access will be available.

It will be an offence under the above Act for any person otherwise than under the authority of an authorised period to use these roads for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closures.

In all other situations necessitating the use of the roads, contact must be made with the site traffic management coordinators on site, on the day.
