Notice of intent to graze reserves

Under Section 73 (i) and Section 119 of the Reserves Act 1977, the South Taranaki District Council hereby notifies its intention to enter into Grazing Licenses to Occupy for a period of five (5) years, subject to the provisions of the Act, for the Recreation Reserves listed below:

• RECREATION RESERVE – WAVERLEY TOWN BELT
  The land intended to be licensed to occupy, known as the Waverley Town Belt, compromises sections located at Swinbourne, Fookes and Chester Streets and Mangatangi Road, Waverley, of varying sizes, ranging between 1.5ha to 5.79 ha, totalling approximately 31.9613 hectares. Tenders will be advertised during July - August 2024.
• RECREATION RESERVE – 62 IHUPUKU STREET, PART OF WAITŌTARA DOMAIN
  The land intended to be licensed to occupy, known as Lot 2 DP 4137 Block VIII, Wairoa SD, Part Waitōtara Domain, is part of the Recreation Reserve known as Waitōtara Domain located at 62 Ihupuku Street, Waitōtara. The license would be granted for an area of approximately 2.0615 hectares for the purposes of grazing.
• RECREATION RESERVE – NO 2 FIELD, PĀTEA DOMAIN
  The land intended to be licensed to occupy, known as Part section 26 Town Pātea, is part of the Recreation Reserve known as No 2 Field, Pātea Domain. The license would be granted for an area of approximately 2.5510 hectares for the purposes of grazing.
• CEMETERY RESERVE – ŌPUNAKĒ CEMETERY RESERVE

The land intended to be licensed to occupy, known as Section 2 Town of Ōpunakē, Suburban, is part of the Recreation Reserve known as Ōpunakē Cemetery Reserve. The license would be granted for an area of approximately 31.9613 hectares for the purposes of grazing.

SUBMISSIONS

Written objections to the licensing of any of these reserves for grazing purposes will be received up until 4pm on Friday 12 July 2024. All submissions must include your name, postal address, daytime telephone number and an email address if applicable.
