Taranaki Startup Weekend 2020

Bizlink Hāwera is proud to be co-hosting Taranaki Startup Weekend 2020 in Hawera this 13 to 15 November 2020.

It’s a fantastic 54-hour event where developers, designers, marketers, product managers and startup enthusiasts come together to share ideas, form teams, build products and launch startups.

Startup Weekend has run four times in Taranaki and has been hugely successful while significantly contributing to the development of Taranaki’s Startup and innovation ecosystem.

We’re making plans to ensure the event can safely function at NZ Covid 19 alert level 2 so logon to the Facebook Live, pop down to the Bizlink Hāwera office or to Manifold NP and find out more at this multi-platform launch!

About Start Up Weekend:

The idea of Start Up Weekend is to nurture and develop that business idea that’s been simmering away, perhaps for years, and to grow and develop your own capacity to make it happen! You don’t have to use your idea at Start Up Weekend (you can keep your concept to yourself and grow it later) but the key learnings will be translatable and you may walk away with multiple other business opportunities, new connections and a solid understanding of what it takes to make things happen!

It's a fun and energetic but focused weekend which provides an exciting opportunity for you to gain confidence, fuel your brain and build something new.

You’ll learn from the best - Start Up Weekend will give you access to an amazing team of local and national mentors throughout the event and they’ll be there to help coach you through the hard problems. You’ll build a cross-functional team to work over one of the most popular ideas and pitch it to a panel of judges. There are also great prizes up for grabs.
