The Warratahs coming to Hāwera
Concerts in the Park is returning to Hāwera’s King Edward Park on Sunday 14 February.
Popular New Zealand band, the Warratahs, will be bringing the park to life with their power packed show.
Entertainment will begin with Hāwera musician, Mitch Careswell, kicking things off at 4.30pm. Mitch impressed with his ‘Lockdown Local’ concert which was part of South Taranaki District Councils COVID Lockdown events.
Then at 5.30pm, the legendary Kiwi country band The Warratahs will take the stage. Over 30 years since their debut album, The Warratahs are Kiwi music royalty. They play a unique brand of country and folk music, with the fire of 50’s style rock and roll.
South Taranaki District Council events coordinator Hayley Old says she looks forward to hearing a range of music covered from local and well-known artists reverberate around King Edward Park.
"We hope families and whānau take the opportunity to enjoy this free event relaxing in Hāwera’s premier park,” says Hayley. “We encourage those attending to make an evening of it by bringing along a picnic or buying something from the food vendors we will have available.”
This event is proudly brought to you by South Taranaki District Council and supported by TSB Community Trust.
