Rubbish Services Back to Normal at Covid Alert Level 3
The kerbside rubbish and recycling collection will return to normal tomorrow (Wednesday 1 September) when Taranaki goes into Covid Alert Level 3, but most other South Taranaki District Council (STDC) services will remain restricted says Council communications manager, Gerard Langford.
“While it’s good that we are moving down to Covid Alert Level 3 we still aren’t allowed to physically interact with people, so our public facilities such as libraries, pools, recreation centres, community venues and playgrounds must remain closed,” he says.
Our essential services staff remain busy on the frontline keeping the water pumping, collecting waste and maintaining critical infrastructure. Other staff continue to work from home where possible to provide online services and building inspections will resume while following strict safety guidelines.
“If you aren’t sure what services are available check out our website here or phone our customer service centre toll free on 0800 111 323 and they will answer your queries,” says Gerard.
“We will update residents if there are any further changes to Council services on our website and facebook page or through our Antenno app.”
