Notice of Intent to Graze Reserves

Under Section 53 (1) and Section 119 of the Reserves Act 1977, the South Taranaki District Council hereby notifies its intention to enter into Licence’s to Occupy for a period of five (5) years, subject to the provisions of the Act, for the Recreation Reserve listed below:

• ŌKAIAWA CEMETERY RESERVE
  The land intended to be licenced to occupy, known as Section 56 Block IV Waimate SD is part of the Local Purpose Reserve known as Ōkaiawa Cemetery Reserve. The licence would be granted for an area of approximately 3.6026 hectares for the purposes of grazing.
• POTI DOMAIN
  The land intended to be licenced to occupy, known as Section 83 Block X Ngaere SD, is part of the Recreation Reserve known as Poti Domain. The licence would be granted for an area of approximately 6.2726 hectares for the purposes of grazing.
• MANUTAHI CEMETERY RESERVE
  The land intended to be licenced to occupy, known as Part Section 10 TN of Manutahi is part of the Reserve known as Manutahi Cemetery Reserve. The licence would be granted for an area of approximately 2.7 hectares for the purposes of grazing.
• MANUTAHI DOMAIN
  The land intended to be licenced to occupy, known as Part Section 9 Town of Manutahi and Subdivision 2 Section 9 Town of Manutahi is part of the Recreation Reserve known as Manutahi Domain. The licence would be granted for an area of approximately 4.3152 hectares for the purposes of grazing.
• MANGAMINGI DOMAIN
  The land intended to be licenced to occupy, known as Section 40, 62 Mangamingi Suburban is part of the Recreation Reserve known as Mangamingi Domain. The licence would be granted for an area of approximately 5.6555 hectares for the purposes of grazing.
• KAŪPOKONUI RECREATION RESERVE
  The land intended to be licenced to occupy, known as Part Section 84 Block VI Waimate Survey District is part of the Recreation Reserve known as Kaūpokonui Recreation Reserve. The licence would be granted for an area of approximately 3.5 hectares for the purposes of grazing.
• HURST PARK, ŌPUNAKĒ
  The land intended to be licenced to occupy, known as Section 2 SO 13131 and Section 3 13131 is part of the Recreation Reserve known as Hurst Park. The licence would be granted for an area of approximately 2.8699 hectares for the purposes of grazing.
• EX-RAILWAY RESERVE, ŌPUNAKĒ

The land intended to be licenced to occupy, known as Section 1 SO 11996, is part of the Recreation Reserve. The licence would be granted for an area of approximately 2.5216 hectares for the purposes of grazing.

Written objections to the licencing of any of these reserves for grazing purposes will be received up until 4pm on Tuesday 13 May 2025. All submissions must include your name, postal address, daytime telephone number and an email address if applicable.
