Temporary Road Closures (22 and 24 February)

This notice is to let you know that in accordance with the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965 the South Taranaki District Council, for the purpose of Americarna event, proposes to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic at the following times.

Beach Road, Ōpunakē
Wednesday 22 February 2023 between 11.30am to 3pm

High Street, Hāwera (from Caledonia to Argyle Streets)
Union Street, Hāwera (from Countdown entrance to High Street)
Regent Street, Hāwera (from Little Regent to High Streets)
Albion Street, Hāwera (from Rowe Street to Community Centre Carpark)
Friday 24 February 2023 between 11am to 6pm

Williams Ave and Burnside Ave, Hāwera
Friday 24 February 2023 between 11am and 8pm
Saturday 25 February 2023 between 8am and 5pm

It will be an offence under the above Act for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised period to use these roads for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closures.

In all other situations necessitating the use of the roads, contact must be made with the site traffic management coordinators on-site, on the day. Alternative routes will be available and signposted.
