Temporary Road Closures - Hāwera, Auroa, Eltham
In accordance with Section 342 of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that the following roads will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic for the periods indicated hereunder.
Fantham Street, Hāwera (will be closed progressively)
From 8am Monday 26 February 2024, starting at Waihi Road end until Friday 10 May 2024.
Nighttime closures may be required.
Resident access will be available.
Water Main Upgrade
Fitzgerald Lane, Hāwera (400m from SH3 to end of Road) and Little Waihi Road, Hāwera
From 8am Monday 26 February 2024 until 5pm Friday 28 June 2024.
New Road Construction
Rowan Road, Auroa (between Eltham and Skeet Roads)
From 4 March to 5 April, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
Road Upgrade
Clifford Road, Eltham (between Collingwood and Stanners Street)
From 7am Monday 4 March 2024 to 5pm Friday 8 March 2024
Water Main Upgrade
Entrance of Dorset Street, Ōpunakē from Tennyson Street
Access available via Allison Street
From 28 February 2024 to 26 March 2024
8am to 5pm weekdays only
Sewer Renewal
It will be an offence under the above Act for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised period to use these roads for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.
In all other situations necessitating the use of the road, contact must be made with the site traffic management coordinators on-site, on the day. Alternative routes will be available and signposted.
