District-wide Partial Water Restrictions now in place

The restrictions mean all unattended hoses, sprinklers and irrigation systems are banned. Hand-held hoses may be used early in the evening (after 6pm) on the odds and evens system (at even-numbered houses on even calendar dates, and odd numbered houses on odd calendar dates).

About this Committee

The District Plan Committee consists of six appointed councillors and one iwi representative.

The District Plan Committee consider and make recommendation to the Council on environmental policy matters relating to the Resource Management Act and the District Plan; and hear all plan changes and make recommendations to the Council.
